Your Love Life Secrets Are
Looking back on your life, you will have a few true loves.

You're a little scarred from your past relationships, but who isn't?

You expect a lot from your lover - you want the full package. You tend to be very picky.

In fights, you speak your mind and don't hold back. You know you're right, and you can get quite angry about it.

Getting over a break-up doesn't take long. Easy come, easy go.

my speech!

03/28 2006, 16:08

this is what i gave the speech on....

Men and women are alike, but each has to play diff functions within natural boundaries. Traditionally, males being dominating as a bread winner and females are left to lookafter their offsprings and household affairs.

the question in term is: Are women equal to men in practical life? YES, they are but wid some limitations. the major ones are emotionally bound, phsiologically weak but science has proved women to b more stronger than men in both aspects but def undershelter by nature.

Churchill famous saying.. " A WOMAN CAN CAN MAKE OR BREAK A MAN" is def true. going bak 2 the role of women, historically Razia Sultana, ruled over India and ran the country some 800 yrs ago. In recent era, Jamil aBu Raqiba played a pivotin grole in the liberation of Algeria. Florence Nightangle  pioneered  the nursing profession. Baroness Margrat Thatcher , her majesty the queen. and Indra Gandhi all played  excellent role for their countries and beliefs. Also Mrs Bandra Nike being the first P.M in our living memory.

The concept of women's right is rooted in history rather than culture. historically, the role and status assigned to women hav been remarkably similar across the world. until relatively recently nowhere in da world culd women choose a field of edu, train fr a job, get ajob, or get paid equally. if they were given a job, nor could they marry, hav children, space their children, get a divorce, own a property, or ravel by their own free choice!

there is no doubt tht we must make this 21st century " the century of women" by facilitating their access to adu, ti worship by developing opp fr their meaningful involvement in the mgmt and leadership of our org  and by transforming the inst of marriage tht is again founded upon the teachings of islam.

however, due to our own insecurities and our own ignorance, men have, fr various reasons, concluded falsely tht women cant manage n lead org; tht women are not capable of balancing their  resp to Allah, family and work. the insecurity is rooted partly in our ignorance of the fact tht there is nothing in islamic teachings tht wuld exclude women frm magmt and leadership roles. it is the men , who sometimes feel threatened by the fact tht a "women" might know more than them, might b a better manager than him, or even a better leader!!

conclusively men and women are equal but must work as a teamwork and within natural framework avoiding anykind of waywardness so widel accepted in developed n developin countries.

Professionally women should choose the profession acc to her built and natural dignity; not to be displayed as an exhibition

it is widely accepted tht women have a stake in everything tht affects individual and communal life. this is a great leap frward, a revolution in thnking,a new perception of women's role in the shaping of the world.

Identity crisis

03/23 2006, 05:29

The identity of a human being is based on his or her religious and social beliefs, behaviour, values, traditions and acquired ideals. The way one responds to an event is shaped by our identity — our sense of who we are. Individuals having their own identities gather together to form a community, which then acquires an identity of its own which becomes the collective identity of all its people.

In the last few years, the changing global scenario has led to a crisis of identity in the Muslim community. The publication of blasphemous cartoons and, more recently, the visit of American President George Bush to South Asia, have again underlined the growing crisis. The reaction of the Islamic world to the cartoon crisis had been in the form of violent protests and strong opposition. The portrayal of Islam by the western media depicts that Muslims around the world are labelled as “terrorists”. Since the West knows that Muslims are an emotional nation they played this trick to provoke the Muslim community so that the Muslims may respond with emotions, thereby giving the opportunity for the same elements to blame them as intolerant zealots. We have walked straight into the trap which was set to demonize Islam and its followers.

The visit of the American president to South Asia had a somewhat similar outcome. President George W. Bush arrived amid extraordinary tight security for an overnight stay, following an unannounced visit to Afghanistan and three days in India. A day before his arrival, 40 people were killed and 30 others, including women and children were wounded when helicopter gunships struck a suspect militant’s compound in a village in North Waziristan. The attack triggered a strong reaction in Miramshah. Pitched battles between locals and security forces continued for hours. In spite of all the efforts of the Pakistani government, Pakistan has been pressurized to continue fighting the war on terrorism with increased persistence and commitment. While its arch rival India enjoys diplomatic and friendly ties with the US, Pakistan is only reminded of the role it has to play in fighting terrorism.

“Pakistan should not be expecting a nuclear deal similar to one President Bush struck with India this week,” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said and expressed concern about Pakistan’s record on such weapons and added that the country was not ready for such an agreement. The question that arises here is: why are Muslims around the world accused of involvement in terrorism? Why is this constant pressure of terrorism mounted on Muslims? Why every violent act is associated with the Muslim world? Even fighting for one’s freedom, for one’s own separate homeland is considered terrorism. Kashmir and Palestine are living proof of this. Around the world, Muslims are termed terrorists. Muslims living in any part of the world are looked at with suspicion and hatred. Why? The war on terror and the cartoon crisis are not the only tricks that the West has played on the Islamic world nor will they be the last. While we can’t outsmart the West in our present state, we should at least start thinking about the future. The only way to move ahead is through introspection and by taking a long-term view of the emerging global scenario.

The need of the hour is to get united and strengthen ourselves economically, psychologically and emotionally. And the starting point for doing all this can be nothing but good education. The economic muscle can only be built with a proper education background, and without the economic muscle, no one can even think of being truly and effectively independent in today’s world.

The recent cartoon episode itself is proof of this. The only substantive apology from the official Danish machinery came from the ambassador of Denmark in Saudi Arabia where the economic boycott of Danish products was the most comprehensive. In contrast, all our violent protests failed to evoke a single word of remorse from the Danish ambassador in Islamabad. In fact, we made all the wrong noises in public. If we want to beat the West, we will have to hit them where it hurts.

It is high time that we set our sights straight and started behaving rationally rather than emotionally.
